Uday Ananthan is an advertising professional heading a prodution house by the name Purple and Norah productions. He made his debut with Pranayakalam noted for beautiful scenes and melodious songs it fetched a state award for the best supporting actor. He contributes to Kerala Cafe with Mrityunjayam starring Thilakan in the main role.
